After the Death of the Policyholder, the Nominee mentioned in the Life Insurance Policy or Legal Heir (claimant) submits a written notice of the death of the Policyholder to the "Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC of India)". If your name is mentioned as a nominee in the Policy Bond, then you will present yourself as a nominee in this form, otherwise you will present yourself as a claimant.
